Had the most perfect experience with server Miranda! She was friendly and kind and quite observant to exactly my pace this evening. She made recommendations and checked on me often. The beet salad was small yet delicious-truly my favorite. The filet with bone marrow butter and broccolini and twice baked potato were so flavorful- I almost finished it all! The meal was complete by the excellent Cabernet red wine that was also recommended by Miranda. A true 10 out of 10 and can’t wait to come back!!!
Patrick was an incredible server who recommended everything we ordered and honestly I couldn’t have imagined a better 18th anniversary dinner. The food, the service, the drinks, the atmosphere. All 10/10. Patrick and server assistant Dylan were tentative, accommodating, and incredibly prompt in making sure our anniversary dinner and evening was incredible. We will definitely be back. Everything was incredible.
My wife and I visited Repeal Oak-Fired Steakhouse for the first time on September 21, 2025, to celebrate our 13th anniversary — and from start to finish, we couldn’t have felt more welcomed or celebrated. Tucked quietly on the corner of West Main Street, the restaurant is a showstopper from the moment you walk in. The dramatic wraparound bar immediately catches your eye, and the see-through ceiling adds a unique architectural flair that sets the tone for an elevated dining experience. We were promptly seated and received outstanding service from Thomas, our server for the evening. He was knowledgeable, personable, and provided thoughtful recommendations throughout our meal, including a perfect red wine pairing for my wife’s entrée. We began with the hot stone A5 wagyu — a must-try for anyone curious about indulging in this delicacy without committing to a full steak. The vinegar cucumber sauce was a standout, cutting through the richness of the wagyu beautifully. If we had one critique, it would be that the stone could have been slightly hotter to maintain a perfect sear until the very end. Next, we shared the shrimp cocktail and tuna tartare bowl. The shrimp were exceptionally tender with a natural sweetness, and the cocktail sauce struck the ideal balance of heat and flavor. The tuna tartare was bright, fresh, and elegantly presented. For sides, we chose the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese — both exceptional. The mashed potatoes were luxuriously buttery without being overly salted, a perfect comfort dish. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy, and somehow even better reheated as leftovers (a true mark of greatness!). Finally, the steaks. I ordered the bone-in dry-aged strip, and it did not disappoint. The seasoning created a flawless crust that enhanced — rather than overpowered — the beef’s natural flavors. As any dry-aged steak enthusiast knows, the meat closest to the bone offers an unbeatable depth of flavor, and this cut delivered exactly that. Both of our steaks were ordered medium; my wife’s was cooked perfectly, while mine leaned closer to medium-rare due to its thickness. Even so, it was a pleasure to savor and reheated beautifully the next day. Repeal has quickly earned a spot as our new favorite restaurant in the city. In a dining scene where some long-standing steakhouses have lost their edge, Repeal feels fresh, ambitious, and committed to delivering an exceptional experience. We’ll absolutely be back — and next time, we’ll be bringing friends.
Had Patrick and Darian as our waiters. They did an absolutely amazing job. The food was out of this world. I got the tomahawk pork chop which was ridiculously sized and delicious. Wife got the new york strip which was HUGE and she loved it. The sides we chose were great and same with the appetizers!!! Best part (other than the pork chop) were the prawns!!! They are worth it! Will definitely be coming back again!!!
From start to finish, this was an outstanding dining experience. We were a group of seven celebrating a bachelor party. The food was absolutely incredible—every dish was full of flavor, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The steak, legit all of them because we did a steak flight, was one of the best I’ve ever had—cooked to perfection and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The service truly elevated the evening. Our server was not only attentive and friendly but also had amazing knowledge of the menu, wine pairings, and recommendations, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Justin knew everything about the menu, wine, and pairings. You could tell he lo genuinely cared about creating a memorable meal. On top of it all, the atmosphere was fantastic—warm, inviting, and perfect for both a special occasion or a casual night out. This place has it all: phenomenal food, impeccable service, and an unbeatable vibe. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience!
Simply one of the best meals I've had. We came for our wedding anniversary and had the most wonderful time. The service was top tier, very professional and helpful. The vibe was classy and cozy, I loved the lighting and plants. From the drinks to the food, we were blown away by each item. I saw others’ reviews of the bread and wow!! Everyone was right. The bread was a showstopper. The steak was the best I've had in town-- smooth, evenly cooked, perfect seasoning. The tuna tartar was phenomenal, I highly recommend. Perfect salad and soup, incredible bread pudding (which we took home so I didn't photograph). My honey for the bees cocktail is my new favorite drink in town. We will absolutely be returning here many times in the future.
Went here with a large group on my birthday and we had a great experience. The atmosphere is upscale but relaxed. For appetizers we ordered the wagyu hot stone, oysters, and bone marrow. They were all phenomenal, especially the oysters and bone marrow; wagyu was good but little on the saltier side from the hot stone. The tomahawk steak was the highlight of the meal. It was well seasoned, tender, and had the smokiness from the wood fire grill. Service was as good as the food. Will definitely be back again!
Fantastic dining experience tonight. Started with the French onion soup and it was fantastic. The bread they serve you is insanely delicious. The pictures of it are why I canceled reservations at another well regarded steak house and opted to come here. It was well worth it. Had a New York strip, side of onion rings and some mashed potatoes. Wife had the filet. Also had some of the bourbon peppercorn sauce on the side. Everything was delicious. Anytime we’re in town this will be a go to. We got the Apple tartlet for dessert and it quite good. Always loved the hot pie + cold ice cream pairing. And the $15 valet parking out front is completely worth it for the convenience factor.
